Combining alcohol with chlordiazepoxide can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. It is best to avoid alcohol while taking chlordiazepoxide (see Librium and Alcohol).
 
Anesthetics
Combining anesthetics with chlordiazepoxide can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. Make sure your healthcare providers know you are taking chlordiazepoxide before you undergo any surgical procedure.
 
Antidepressant Medications
Combining an antidepressant with chlordiazepoxide can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. Make sure to talk to your healthcare provider before taking chlordiazepoxide with an antidepressant, as you may need to be monitored more closely.
