Clonazepam 0.5 mg Tablets
Clonazepam (Klonopin®) is a prescription drug approved to treat panic disorder and certain types of epileptic seizures. It comes in the form of tablets and wafers (orally disintegrating tablets). The tablets are available in the following strengths:
- 0.5 mg tablets
- 1 mg tablets
- 2 mg tablets.
For the treatment of seizures, most adults start with 0.5 mg clonazepam tablets (one tablet three times a day). Your healthcare provider may slowly increase your dose as necessary to control your seizures, up to a maximum of clonazepam 20 mg total per day (split up into three smaller doses per day).
The recommended starting clonazepam dosage for treating panic disorder is 0.25 mg twice daily. Your healthcare provider may increase your dose if necessary to control your panic disorder symptoms.
