Who Should Not Take Clorazepate?

You should not take clorazepate if you:
 
  • Are allergic to clorazepate, Tranxene, or any inactive components used to make clorazepate. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Also, you should not take clorazepate if you are allergic to any other benzodiazepine medication.
     
  • Have acute narrow-angle glaucoma (an eye condition).
