Available by prescription, doxepin (Sinequan®, Silenor®) is a drug that is used to treat depression and anxiety. The medication comes in high-dose capsule and liquid forms (for anxiety or depression treatment) or low-dose tablet form (for insomnia treatment). For those who have trouble swallowing capsules, a liquid form is also available. Possible side effects include dry mouth, constipation, and dizziness.
