If you are taking Effexor XR and pregnancy occurs, let your healthcare provider know. He or she will consider both the benefits and risks of taking Effexor XR during pregnancy before making a recommendation for your particular situation. It is possible that he or she may recommend reducing your Effexor XR dosage or weaning off Effexor XR during the third trimester of pregnancy.
