Who Should Not Take Limbitrol?

You should not take Limbitrol if you:

Are allergic to Limbitrol, chlordiazepoxide, amitriptyline, or any inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.

Are allergic to benzodiazepines or tricyclic antidepressants.

Have recently had a heart attack (known medically as a myocardial infarction).

Have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the past two weeks. MAOIs include:

Isocarboxazid (Marplan^®)
Phenelzine (Nardil^®)
Rasagiline (Azilect^®)
Selegiline (Eldepryl^®, Emsam^®, Zelapar^®)
Tranylcypromine (Parnate^®).
