Available by prescription only, Limbitrol® (chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline) is a medication used to treat depression associated with anxiety. It contains two active ingredients:
The standard recommended dosage is one to four tablets per day, taken with or without food. However, your particular dosage will depend on a number of factors, such as your age and any other medical conditions you may have.
Most people have no problems with Limbitrol; however, this medicine is not right for everyone. Prior to beginning treatment with Limbitrol, inform your healthcare provider about any other drugs you are taking and any other medical conditions you have, especially heart disease, seizures, or difficulty passing urine.
