Anxiety Home > How to Limit Withdrawal Symptoms With Xanax

Limiting Xanax Withdrawal

To avoid severe withdrawal symptoms, your healthcare provider will likely wean you off Xanax slowly. Be sure to talk with your healthcare provider before stopping the drug. Also, let your healthcare provider know if you notice any bothersome symptoms after stopping Xanax. Do not be afraid to ask your healthcare provider for help with Xanax withdrawal, even if you have been abusing the drug (see Xanax Addiction) or taking it without a prescription. Withdrawal symptoms can be dangerous.
