Anxiety Home > Xanex Dosage

Were you looking for information about Xanax Dosage? Xanex dosage is a common misspelling of Xanax dosage.

For the treatment of anxiety, the recommended starting dose of Xanax® (alprazolam) is 0.25 mg to 0.5 mg three times a day. Depending on how you react to the medication, your healthcare provider may increase or decrease your dosage as needed.

A higher Xanax dose is usually needed for treating panic disorder; but your healthcare provider may start you on a lower dose (such as 0.5 mg three times daily) to help prevent side effects. Although Xanax may be taken with or without food, you can try taking it with food if it bothers your stomach.
