Safety Issues With Sarafem

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Sarafem. However, not everyone who takes it will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate the medication well. When side effects do occur, in most cases they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.The most common side effects of Sarafem include:
- An irritated or runny nose
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Loss of appetite
- Weight loss (see Sarafem and Weight Loss)
- Weakness
- Flu-like symptoms, such as chills or fever
- Insomnia (see Sarafem and Insomnia)
- A sore throat.
