Sarafem® (fluoxetine hydrochloride) is a prescription medicine approved for treating premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). By increasing serotonin levels in the brain, the medication can help improve the symptoms of PMDD. Sarafem comes in tablet form and is available in 10-mg, 15-mg, and 20-mg strengths.
