If you drink alcoholic beverages or use certain other drugs -- such as barbiturates or antidepressants -- while you are on Serax, drug interactions can occur. Drug interactions with Serax can increase your risk of certain side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects are also possible.
