 Serax? Serrex is a common misspelling of Serax.
 
A healthcare provider may prescribe Serax® (oxazepam) to help treat anxiety or alcohol withdrawal. By enhancing the effects of a naturally calming brain chemical (GABA), the medication can help relax muscles, reduce anxiety, and cause sleepiness. Serax, which is currently only available in generic form, comes in 10-mg, 15-mg, and 30-mg capsules. Potential side effects include headaches, spinning sensations, drowsiness, and dizziness.
