In clinical studies, irritability, coordination problems, and decreased appetite were some of the most commonly reported side effects of Xanax® (alprazolam). For the most part, Xanax side effects are minor and don't require medical attention. However, you should notify your healthcare provider immediately if you develop serious side effects such as hallucinations, jaundice, or suicidal thoughts. You should also let your healthcare provider know if you notice something that "just does not seem right" while taking Xanax.
